Why are you called Hammerhead?
When we began Hammerhead in 2007, we were working mostly with real estate marketers and property developers. We liked that Hammer related to building and Head related to smarts and strategy.
How much does graphic design cost?
Like when shopping for cars, there is a big range in prices depending on the make and model. We carefully evaluate how many hours the project needs in order to deliver the great work you’ve come to expect from our portfolio. Our pricing philosophy is this: We’re not the cheapest, but we’re not the most expensive. If you’re looking for a great value for highly professional, creative, graphic design and web design services, we should talk.
Are you in Seattle or St. Louis?
Both! Hammerhead began in Seattle, and when Sloan moved back to her roots in St. Louis, Hammerhead expanded its in-person service to the St. Louis area. Kevin lives in the Puyallup area and would happily meet you in Seattle for coffee. We work with clients outside our local areas too — just contact the hammerhead of your choice.
Are you hiring?
We’re not hiring at this time, but at times we could get overbooked and need to hire another freelancer for our overflow projects. Please note: we only consider candidates in the St. Louis and Seattle area who are experienced with web design and have online portfolios with at least 10 great website designs.
How long will my project take?
This again depends on the level of complexity of your project, the organization of the project, your deadlines, what our schedule looks like, and how fast you can provide feedback. We work great with deadlines and if you need it done fast, we can usually answer the call.
What do I need to provide you with?
Once the project starts, we’ll be sending you the appropriate questionaires, forms and inquiries. For website design projects it's important that you think about the structure of your site, what pages you’d like and what the content will be. We’ll also need your logo files and the photos you’d like to include. We’ll help you look for appropriate stock photos and other media if needed. Having your content ready ahead of time helps us in determing the personality of your site and allows us to plan the layout around the amount of content you have.
